Blender for Artists Crashing on Launch
Bforartists is a fork of Blender that's supposed to be more intuitive. https://www.bforartists.de/
Unfortunately it keeps crashing when I try to launch.
This is the crash report

How's it installed?
Flatpak
Would need to ask the devs, flatpaks are intentionally designed not to use any system libraries
Nothing we can do to break or fix them
If they have a non-flatpak method you could try it in distrobox
sigh I guess I'll see if I have better luck figuring out how to use a tar (Deb didn't work)
Deb didn't work in a Debian or Ubuntu distrobox?
I'll try distrobox after I finish dailies on the game I actually installed this OS to play lol (it wouldn't launch until I forced it to ignore Vulkan because its an Intel processor)
I could not figure out distrobox but I did find the readme in the tar and found my way to this so here's hoping this fixes the problem 🤞

I just switched back to Linux Lite because it turns out that the thing that wasn't letting steam run the game was an easier fix than trying to get blender to play nice with bazzite
distrobox create --name ubuntu --image ghcr.io/ublue-os/ubuntu-distrobox:latest
sudo apt-get install ~/Downloads/bforartists_4.2.2.deb
distrobox-export --app bforartists
