pants look a little on the slim side but could just be the camera angle
Pants stand out. The strong taper isn’t a great silhouette.
I have big calves lol. So the pants need to be bigger to accommodate?
More of a straight cut would help. I just think the shape from the knee down is too tapered

My pants width window is kinda cooked but these all read “straight” to me as opposed to “relaxed” or “wide”
I intentionally didn’t pick this one as it’s a notch further towards relaxed/wide but I agree the fit is better

Would the lug sole sebagos be better here or
imo this outfit of yours works with slightly wider pants, and a non patterned shirt (and maybe some socks)
Also white socks honestly vs none/no shows
i can see it with slightly wider pants, kinda approaches epistrophy territory
different shirt would help imo (or the same shirt and a different pant/shoe)

Is the basic bastard wardrobe still a good starting point?
if you like how it looks! there's no inherently 'good' starting point it's all about how you specifically want to dress
imo it's more impactful to have an idea of how you want to look
That may be part of my issue. I need to draw inspiration maybe
the basic bastard can maybe help if you have an immediate need for different clothes to function but otherwise check #waywt check #inspiration check social media and IRL and see what things you like
it's a lot easier to work backwards from "this is how i want to look" to "this is what things/brands to buy"
