trying to install U8 on SteamOS (Degrade)
I tried to follow the instructions but on SteamOS you can't use DepotDownloader i use the Steam Terminal but It says downloading but idk if its doing it or not.

it probably is. bear in mind satisfactory is a 25 GB game. if you can check your network usage in some way to verify, that would work

so no you don't have to worry about it
if it said ue4 it would probably be more problematic lol
but even then ue5 uses a lot of ue4 paths to reference stuff still
there is 3 text files which all begin with manifest
