isn't that just spectacular.
have you tried updating again?
and is your track
default-gnome
?No gnome
Twice
I even reset dconf and gsettings
Solution
use
default-gnome
that's the gnome track you start with
see if that works
Oh makes sense
What's the difference between default gnome and gnome
according to https://github.com/blend-os/tracks/blob/main/default-gnome.yaml it adds extensions and removes some files
GitHub
tracks/default-gnome.yaml at main · blend-os/tracks
Tracks for blendOS. Contribute to blend-os/tracks development by creating an account on GitHub.
and it adds firefox and fprintd
Thanks
ム丂イ乇尺ノ丂ズ received a thank you Jao!
the gnome track is missing some base blendos packages
actually nvm
Ok
it's not sorry
dunno why blend-files is re-added
but we have noticed bugs with reinheritance
So thats why the plasma track is there
?
reinheritance is inheriting a track that inherits a track
I haven't been able to really look into it
Then why does the plasma track not get removed on using the gnome track
it should; assuming the update succeeds, i don't know how it couldn't
that being said, anything in /etc would get copied over
(also /opt is empty but that shouldn't affect that)
thanks
so if your greeter is still trying to use kde but gnome is currently there, and assuming the greeter is the same across your kde and gnome installs, then that could cause issues
but with the defaults, that shouldn't happen
they use different greeters, and the greeters are too smart for that i think
