How do the Salmon XTs hold up for everyday and light outdoor use?
Looking for an all day comfortable shoe that I could also wear in very light hiking situations

love mine but every foot is different so that doesn't really mean much
Mine are comfortable and I use them for light hikes just fine
How’s the breathability on them? Is it worth going for goretex?
goretex ones are bad do not

not really but be warned they are quite narrow. i have narrow feet so that's fine but if you don't you might want a half size up
Xt6 are a trail shoe and as such have a very soft outsole. If you do lots of walking on concrete dont be surprised when the tread wears completely off.
Otherwise yeah consider sizing up 0.5 because they fit slim
Got it. I like the style and I'm not too big on BIFL for sneakers anyway. I just hope it doesn't wear out too quickly
These are both very narrow and fairly durable
my hardest-shoe-wearing friend took a while to put them in the ground
Have done half day hikes in xt6's they're good and comfy on soft ground. Not the best traction on rock though. One hike had a slight scramble up a granite slab and they felt a bit sketchy in that situation.
Are they easy to clean after hikes?
yeah they wipe down easily
if you get a lighter colour the fabric upper might stain pretty badly
it actually looks good when it happens tho imo
yeah my xt6 are absolutely thrashed from work and they look great
