Getting "ostree container image deploy" error while installing bazzite
I have been trying to install Bazzite on my Rog Ally today, and have not been able to get it to install properly. The first time i tried to install it, i got an error somewhere late into the installation period, and then couldnt boot into Bazzite. So i re downloaded the bazzite iso, re extracted it using rufus to an USB, and then got: "ostree container image deploy --sysroot=/mnt/sysimage --image=/run/install/repo/bazzite/nvidia-stable --transport=oci --no-signature-verification" exited with the code 1; as an error. Ive tried removing the partition using both windows disk manager and diskpart, but doing so hasnt changed the error during installation. Not sure what to do next, anyone know the answer to this problem?

Have a look at the installation troubleshooting guide https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/troubleshoot_guide/ . I think your code 1 error is caused by the first failed install
Ah this seems useful, thanks and ill report back
Good luck! π
Quick question, at the end, the tutorial is asking me to umount/dev/nvme0n1p1, however entering this command is telling me that the partition is busy, can i still reboot or is there something wrong?
you should be able to just reboot and run through the installer again, hopefully you won't have the code 1 issue again
Seems to work now! I think i accidentally removed the windows partition during the process, but thats not a huge deal
Yeah if it's just a gaming box it really doesn't matter if you nuked Windows (unless you play a bunch online and the game uses anticheat that doesn't work on Linux). Hope you enjoy Bazzite. π
Thanks! I might try to reinstall it at some point, but i generally dont use my deck for online games so i doubt ill use this one for many either
