how much can you shorten a tailored jacket?
Hi, I am noticing jackets that may generally fit besides the length. How much can you shorten a jacket and does it depend also on closed vs open quarters?

Generally speaking, an inch or two is all you’ll want to shorten a jacket. Any shorter and the jacket will start to look top heavy
I wouldn't go more than an inch. Shortening really throws off the proportions
