Change Desktop Virtual Keyboard?
How can I change this keyboard? I don’t like how it doesn’t have edges for each letter.

Use the steam keyboard
How? Steam is open and when I start typing it uses this one instead.
Steam + X opens the steam keyboard
We disable the KDE keyboard OOTB
You'll need to undo whatever you did to turn it on

You're meant to use the Steam keyboard in all cases, just like SteamOS
Is there anyway I can get my keyboard working properly it always shows in the centre of the screen
