What type of shoe is this and how can I style it?
I found these in the back of my dad’s closet unopened. I wanted a casual shoe similar to this (a bit nicer) but not sure what to look up. Is it just a fabric/canvas slip on?
Also curious how I can style these and what type and color socks I should wear with it.

Sorry I thought it attached but had a network error!
Oh god
Heydudes
There is no good way to style these unfortunately
Oh really?
Is it more the style or the fabric? Looking to see what to buy for a casual shoe
Just a very very ugly shoe
Cause I’ve only really worn sneakers or dress shoes
Clarks Wallabees are probably the thing that closest resemble these that are still passable
for casual shoes a classic canvas sneaker like converse or a casual leather shoe/boot are genreal recs around here
tbh the shape kinda giving weirder paraboots
Converse chuck 70s, vans authentics, reebok club cs are good casual sneakers that can be work with just about everything
But yeah wallabees seem to me like they occupy the realm you want
How about something like this?
Yeah I’m looking for something not leather and close to $50 (student budget here)
Also ugly unfortunately
just for the sake of your foot health do not cheap out on shoes
sperry topsider maybe
Might be looking at a different one but those also seem a bit out of my budget
That’s true, a lot of nicer shoes seem less comfy than sneakers for me
I also have pretty wide feet so they tend to pinch my toes together
How about the vans Atwood?
Or these
what do you like about these types of shoes
Honestly that they r on sale rn at kohls and I have some rewards for it
gotcha
And the price
respectfully these are all extremely ugly shoes
and I guarantee they won't be all that comfortable after like 15-20 wears
Yeah, I’d love to get some of the shoes u guys have mentioned but I don’t have the money for them right now
Hmm good point
you're throwing money away if you buy these
like yeah great they're cheap but they are still a waste of money
chuck 70s regularly run well under 50
vans authentics as well
and you really cant go wrong with them
Converse I’ve tried in the past (high tops) don’t fit me well
Vans are nice but the ones I’ve tried don’t have a lot of cushioning
I can try the ones mentioned here next time I see them though
shoe inserts are great for support fwiw
Hmm true I can try those too
in general it's never good to buy something just because it's on sale
you're almost always gonna be better off saving your money until you can afford something a little nicer
Yeah I think I’ll do that
Thanks!
