Ok , isse lowest Locant Sum rule hi kehte hai na ??
i don’t remember the name of this rule but ya this works
2,4
4,6
2<4
that gets priority.
Lowest locant sum rule doesn't hold.
Lowest locant rule states that when comparing two sets of locants then the one with the smaller value at first point of difference should be taken
for example: 2+7+8=17>3+4+9=16
here, the former set has higher sum of locants but still the latter one will be considered as the former one has smaller locant value at first point of difference.
