So can we use it to : Ph-NH2 -> Ph-N2+ (diazonium) Instead of HNO2 Also, when it HNO2 reacts with non aromatic amines: R-NH2, it forms R-OH, so, NOCl will form R-Cl right?

HNO2 with primary Amines shows Diazotization rxn

But for non aromatic it becomes unstable so N2 gas leaves and R+ forms which is attacked by OH- to form alcohol, that's what my teacher told me It doesnt form diazonium with non aro Atleast tell me if the NOCl part is correct or not

yes if it is unstable then it goes under Fragmentation else it remains as it is NOCl with HNO2?

No, not with HNO2, what will happen if R-NH2 reacts with NOCl Yea i just looked it up, it does make R-Cl
