Tie color for my wedding suit
Hey everyone! Recently purchased my wedding suit, which is a lovely dark green (ignore the wrinkles, it was straight out of the shipping box). My groomsmen are in black suits with dark green ties. I was thinking of going with a champagne color for a tie, but was wondering what people think.

i can see champagne; my gut is telling me a darker color in the red family (burgundy, plum, etc)
a black print tie might also be cool depending on what you find
I didn't even think about a burgundy but could totally see it. Here was the tie I tried in store, I think it's technically a "light brown" silk but looks more champagne.
I'm not opposed to a print, but worry about it not looking as formal
if you are the groom i feel like your opinion counts more than most on whether your tie formal enough for your own wedding
might consider a texture like grenadine in lieu of a print; the champagne as is is nice but imo feels a little too close in color to the shirt
Haha true. I see your point about the champagne color and do agree. I did find these burgundy options that look very nice: pattern, cashmere, grenadine
all three good, i personally like 3 but it's ultimately up to your preference
