no sound in gaming mode

The audio is 100% in both gaming and normal mode and it works on the desktop but when i enter the gaming mode there are no sounds at all

i did it, you have to go to the sound volume tab in the taskbar and go to the app part and you will see steam as chromium

I'm having the same issue on a PC. Sound works in desktop mode but not Gaming mode. Volume is up and output is set to HDMI. There are no UI sounds and no sound in Videos in the Steam store. I haven't actually tried it in a game yet (taking a while to install) but I assume it won't work there either.
