External display recognised but no signal

I have an RtX 3060 laptop. The new drivers aren’t working for me at all no matter what distro I’m using. How can I downgrade them so I can use my external display?

I’ve used Fedora 40, Pop-OS and Bazzite and have had the same problem on all 3. My external display plugged in via HDMI is recognised but has no signal. On Debian it ended up using software rendering. I’ve also checked everywhere and no one is having the same problem I’ve now enrolled mok for secure boot but still not working

Assume that you have already tried a different HDMI cable and a different external display as a process of elimination. Another thing to try would be a different image of Bazzite. E.g. if you are using bazzite-nvidia-open then try rebase to bazzite-nvidia or vise versa. Have a look at the rebasing guide for more information https://ublue-os.github.io/bazzite/Installing_and_Managing_Software/Updates_Rollbacks_and_Rebasing/rebase_guide/ Oh and do you have the same problem in Windows? You might have a faulty HDMI port or a faulty GPU

On Windows it works completely fine. Thanks for this. It works on my TV but strangely not on my monitor 🤔

One more things to try. Are you using X11 or Wayland? On the login screen in KDE is there is a selector in the bottom right (bottom left for Gnome). If you using Wayland, try X11 and see if that makes a differerence

It doesn’t help. I really don’t know what’s wrong. On the TV it works flawlessly (as flawless as nvidia can be on Linux) but on the monitor it just doesn’t work.
