journalctl -b 0 | fpaste
after it happens
Grepping the error does not helpWhat's your sd card model
sandisk extreme pro 1tb
Is this an og ally?
ally x
Did you use the card previously with an ally
and works fine in windows only, bazzite has the issue
yep but didnt have an issue and i fixed mine
before it ever failed
Maybe your sd card is a bit screwy after that incident don't know
also does it with other sd cards never used on ally
Google searches don't have a lot of results
Oh
Are you on the latest bios?
yeah thats why im stuck as google is loaded with ally but not ally x...
yep
and also only bazzite has the issue
How did you format the SD card
Did you try other distros?
tried, formating in bazzite/windows/steam deck
from full wipe of all partitions as well
Did you create a new partition table?
yep
Also check if the card is slotted properly
in both windows and bazzite
yep it is
This is a hardware error
Or kernel driver error
If you're committed to reinstalling try a bazzite build from a month or two ago by rebasing
yeah im leaning towards kernel driver as ive gone to town on it on the windows side without issue....
Also do a ram check
yep did that one
which bazzite should i go back too?
Do a version 1-2 weeks after ally x support was added
so just go current 3.7.0 then as ally x was added on 3.6.0?
Ignore the version numbers go by date
You can find the builds on the packages section of the github
Then do rpm ostree rebase
kk
also I dm'd about something unrelated to this too, cheers
can you run
sudo f3probe -n -t /dev/mmcblk0 | fpaste
and provide the output link here?https://paste.centos.org/view/887eacaf
So says damaged however it's completely fine in windows so it might be a driver issue?
Solution
annnd a full wipe and fresh install fixed it....
also fixed slow network speeds via ethernet and wifi too for some reason....
