Does my mouse pad material quality really matters?

from the last 6 months i've beeen using rubber mouse pad(not the rubber anti slip thats under the mouse pad)..after extreme usage of that pad its performance went too low..even after washing it gently with water and spoonge...3 days ago ordered a mouse pad made up of NEOPERENE (rubber anti slip under it)..it looks pretty good and better than that rubber mouse pad...also does neoperene material is used by any other pros or they all uses glass pad? my question is that ..this neoprene mouse will it last longer ? and that rubber mouse pad i'm talking about the surface is scrambled and tore due to my mouse movement..and been doing flicks and quick movement on that pad my mouse stutters in game.. where as this new pad is good and able to do quit fast movement..i'm trying my best to keep this mouse from dust and debris...

it kinda does matter yea you usually want a material where the mouse can easily be moved on, not be slowed by friction or similar
