Setting up networking for a virtual machine in virt-manager

I've made a virtual machine on my bazzite host using virt-manager, and the guest is also running bazzite. Now I want to connect it to the internet so I can download packages etc, and I'm trying to research online how to do it, but I don't understand anything that I'm reading. There's stuff about user-mode and kernel-mode networking, something to do with QEMU system and QEMU session, I'm completely clueless. From a default bazzite installation, can someone explain how to get networking set up on my VM so that I can connect to the internet in the simplest way possible?

I was using NAT but it wasnt working, turns out it was because I had mullvad VPN open, and I guess that stopped the connection somehow
