Need short sleeve nice casual shirts
Unlimited budget. I want a few very high quality short sleeve button downs / polos. I am fine with my pants/shoes, just lacking in the quality shirt department.
6 ft tall, 155 lbs and lean. Almost all shirts are loose in the bottom and don't taper enough. BYLT fit me OK, but the quality is not very good. I tried Proper Cloth which sucked after 3 remakes. I'm about to find the highest end custom shirt maker around and just pay them $4-500/shirt, but before I go that route does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Is your budget actually unlimited? Why not just tailor shirts that you otherwise like?

Realistically I’d be fine spending 1k/shirt
I have had a few shirts tailored from say banana republic. They’re ok. Just not spectacular.
at that point why not just go full bespoke
So just find a local custom clothing maker and theres no real downside to doing that?
assuming price is fine
assuming they do work you are happy with the quality of i see no reason not to
alright i think thats the play then
will contact some tomorrow
im in south florida so presumably there should be some good ones
There are very few truly custom shirt makers around - be careful not to get ripped off by someone who's actually just adjusting a pre made pattern and getting stuff sewn in a faceless factory (basically proper cloth but in different clothing/marketing).
if there's nothing you like around you at that price point a trip to NYC or something may also be in the cards
once a maker like that has your measurements and pattern they can continue to make new ones without you coming back as far as i know.
good to know ,yeah proper cloth after 3 remakes still fit worse than an off the rack bylt, so i wasnt thrilled
the fabrics were really nice but the actual tailoring sucked
