Can a blazer be a tad shorter than a traditional suit jacket?
I have heard that a jacket should at least cover one's seat. I have a blazer that is a tad shorter. I plan to wear this with high-rise cotton slacks for casual wear and high-rise grey wool pants for job interviews. Could this work?

pics would help answer this q
Depends on how short it is. Where does it hit your hands? Ideally should be around midway at your palm.
like rej said pics of the full outfit would help
i think the sleeve length is the more critical measurement as (imo) you can visually offset the length of the jacket with the rise of the pants to some degree
Hard agree - pant rise is also important to jacket proportions
imo the jacket body length is fine and the sleeve is maybe fine? (a shot with your arms at your sides would help determine it for sure)
i think it might be a little tight - though again, that could be you holding the phone - and if that's the case sizing up slightly might also help with the length issued
Thank you.
This is actually an MTM jacket I got just under a year ago; I was quite a bit thinner then, which is why it is on the tighter side.
it happens (said i am now too swole to fit in my wedding suit); if there's any room to let it out that would help considerably because otherwise it's good for your intended purpose
Is it possible to let out a jacket? I was not aware of this.
Also, congratulations both on being married and swole.
it depends on if there's additional fabric allowance in there - sometimes mtm includes it, especially for uncanvassed jackets, sometimes they don't
Ah, this one is fully canvassed. I will check.
Thank you.
