Inconsistent FPS when using Frame Limit (Ally X)

Hey team, sorry to bother again. Just noticed that the Frame Limit doesn’t seem to function as expected. If I use a 60fps limit, it will usually remain at 60ish. However, setting this to 40fps gives me worse performance. I would expect it to remain 40fps consistently but I’m seeing it drop to the low 30’s

currently being investigated LFC is being weird so vrr below 60hz is a bit iffy rn

Ah I see Good to know it’s being investigated! I just tried it out again this morning and it looks like the frame limiters working. Not sure why but I’ll do some testing later to see if I can replicate any more

Well so far so good Perhaps the latest updates did solve it as i'm getting a stable 40fps now! Will see how it goes during this week in case in comes back again but fingers cross 🤞

The main issue is gamescope. Just remove the external display line and everything works fine. Worked for me on Nobara and CachyOS What's funny is setting it as an external display can cause the refresh rate and frame limiter slider to appear if you add custom rates.
