thoughts on this Schott jacket?
Hi,
I'm looking for thoughts on this Schott jacket (mainly its color) and maybe an ID too, I couldn't find it in the same leather online. What's this type of leather called?
It's a real vintage made in USA jacket and it's only around 100€.

The model would be an A-2 flight jacket (you might have known that already), looks to be like it started off as black and has just faded to that light grey over the years? Hard to say exactly what type of leather it is, as far as I can see Schott usually just refer to their jackets as 'cowhide', lol. Looks cool imo!
the seller was saying it was an intentional leather effect and not from usage,
i've never seen black fade this much so I believed it
what you said would make more sense though
Oh I guess it could be some sort of acid wash as well, I didn't consider that with it being vintage but it's definitely possible
