As object move closer to lens , the image will move away from mirror till focus is reached... considering the formed image is real, velocity in x-direction will be away from mirror

ok, but why does the image move away from mirror if i write image dist and obj dist in equation form then i get an expression from where i cant determine whether it is moving away or not v = uf/(u+f)

just draw the ray diagram from the final point p and you will get the answer

Just watch position of image in convex lens in khan academy youtube...you will get much better understanding there
