github is probably the safest, the rest have horror stories about free tiers getting hammered with traffic and them sending bills upwards of $10k

GH it's normal sometimes you need to wait like 10-15 minutes after deploy to see the site update. I'm not sure if that's the problem you have.
also, just to clarify, if deployment fails on github pages, it won't show the updated site. But that is also true for any other host. Deployment is the thing that puts the files in the place it needs to go
it won't be solved by using a different host, it'll only be solved by resolving the deployment issues

there's a billion reasons why a deploy could fail. Make a new post and share the deployment logs, any error messages you got, and what you did to deploy the site
