put the game inside gamescope with
--force-grab-cursor
as an argument for gamescope. it will make it so you have to click into the gaming window and alt tab out of it to get the mouse out of the windowWhen enabling gamescope on fallout 4 via lutris (GOG) to fix this issue, It forces the launcher to go full screen and after clicking play within the launcher, It simply refuses to launch the game.
adding
--force-grab-cursor
to the game in the lutris game options "arguments" section with gamescope disabled also does not fix the issue
the only time my cursor does not run off of the main monitor is when I am actively holding mouse 1 (obviously not a viable solution)
The issue is persistent between fullscreen, windowed, and borderless windowedThis obviously won't work because the argument is for gamescope.
I do not use heroic or lutris myself as all my games are on steam so I am unsure what else to try
I figured it wouldnt but always worth seeing
FIX FOUND : In lutris, click on the triangle next to wine, then click "wine configuration" and ensure that under graphics, "Automatically capture the mouse in full screen windows" is ENABLED
NOTE : Only works in full screened games
What about games that are played via steam with proton? I used winecfg and that option is not there.
protontricks instead of winecfg
need to use the flatpak and you need to give it access to the steamlibrary locations you have
Thats how I got to Winecfg, from protontricks.
only other way i can think of it then is using gamescope with
--force-grab-cursor
might be removed in proton itselfThat's what I curerntly do, would be nice to not have to use gamescope because it breaks the steam overlay, but it is what it is.
yeah its annoying
@HikariKnight This always worked but its not working today for helldivers. Is there something wrong with my code?
it looks fine
I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that helldivers with this command starts in my second monitor instead and I have to move it over manually to the right one
