I thought someone told me they weren't awhile back
honestly i used a b&n book cover bag for a year it worked pretty well lol
i had a separate laptop sleeve and case for writing tools
Ooh they have a bunch of cool EG patterned ones on garmentory
Yeh I have a separate laptop sleeve with a zipper pocket for writing tools
I grabbed an Alpaka Bravo for work and I likely a lot. Comes with a shoulder strap to make it a crossbody.

This pattern is cool too, it's reversible paisley
I think if you’re gonna buy a bag for school and bring your laptop you’re going to want a laptop compartment with padding or at least a false bottom
Those EG things feel like shopping or market totes to me. They look nice but idk if they’re daily drivers
I do already have a separate laptop bag/sleeve
What makes me hesitant is the handle doesn't look substantial?
Ya if you have a laptop in there it can get heavy
Books too.
you can't really tell capacity just from an image imo
I could keep it to when I don't bring my heavier stuff
the uniqlo folding bags (not sure if they make them anymore but they're on ebay) can hold a surprising amount of weight despite having flimsy looking straps
I'm inclined to get the brown EG one with $10 off
It's half nylon
Gotta stop having threads like these without a specific budget
BAGGU
Thinking no way I could justify more than $100
That's honestly a nice bag
$61 all in for the EG bag seems like a decent price for a cool bag?
Get a baggu
But the eg one is cooll
Thoughts on the waffle pattern?
They also have printed cotton ones in olive and navy
Think I like this bag more than the cloud though not sure
This one is cute
The one I linked or just the cloud?
These are nice
Should I worry about material in terms of the rain?
Or just like bring an umbrella idk
Any u choose is fine
Pick what you like
Thinking the cloud bag in dove but I'll shorten the strap
dont like the printed cotton EG stuff at all
i like Battenwear and Topo Designs totes
I sortved liked them lmao, liked that the brown was part nylon but wasn't sure about the waffle pattern
i mean if you like it that's cool!
The Herschel supply ones are um basic but look p nice
so you'd be putting books + laptop + sleeve in these?
i still personally think for work/school ip refer to have some organization in there, if not a laptop compartment than at least some separated sections vs just dumping stuff in there
Prob keeping it to the days when I only bring books + sleeve
in that case i do think i'd look at actual like "bag" brands vs EG because you dont wanna kill your shoulders with all that weight
Prob why the baggu is a good recommendation then
yea baggu, herschel, or you could always browse pack hacker and see what they recommend (tho they get very tech-y EDC-y)
but ultimately like, it's a bag
trust your gut
i say this as someone who over analyzes and like, makes spreadsheets before buying stuff, that im sure whatever you get will fill the purpose.
I have the Herschel black tote. I use it for work (commuter in NYC) and travel (fits under the seat). Great bag. Holds a lot. Very durable.
