KDE Issues with Nvidia 40 series
I recently tried to switch to Bazzite KDE and experiencing a my desktop freezing (apps seemed to run fine).
I have two monitors connect via display port, both are high refresh (turned VRR off). My CPU has AMD graphics integrated as well.
I was able to replicate it pretty consistently when editing my KDE panels. I think this might be an issue with Nvidia drivers. Does anyone have a 40 series card and is able to confirm that KDE works for them? Thank you!

The driver version was 550 if I recall correctly, had to switch back to Windows for work due to the system’s instability.
I have a 4060 Ti and had the same issues some months ago with the plasmashell crashing and occasional freezing
I swapped to GNOME in the end, I haven't returned since then
Damn, I hate how GNOME looks. Looks like that’s the solution if I want to move off Windows for good
yeah not really a solution, just sucks having Nvidia specific issues
I’m guessing this is a KDE issue rather than Bazzite, looks like I’m filing a bug there to see if it gets any traction
560
KDE should be working fine, does for a lot of Nvidia users here
Even the Firefox problem recently got fixed
I’ll try again with the newer driver, this was from a few weeks ago before the 560 driver was in bazzite
oh just noticed you mentioned 550, that's very old
Wayland wasn't even usable at all
I'm kind curious to test it again with 560, will try when I have some free time
It might have been 555, it was not the latest 560 I know that much
Just update the system, 560 is pretty fine to me, even the davici works
