can these pumas fit the samba cinematic universe
Looking for a samba type beat but might already have one at home
Ignore the rest of the outfit

I’m leaning no
no
That’s what I thought
@Sinchad resident samba expert can you concur with our conclusion
Not hitting the same note for me
what is the difference between samba and gazelle. im thinking of picking one of them up.
Gazelle wider
Sambas are lower profile too
Ye
Oh ok interesting might need those then
Gazelle i have kinda wide feet
What about Stan smiths
What are these kind of shoes called
And if I’m gonna be sneakerheady historically gazelles are nearly full suede whereas sambas are leather or leather with a suede hit
Although a lot of the hot recent samba models are mostly suede
Funny enough there’s not a cohesive name even though they’re super similar sillhouettes because they were developed for different purposes
Different purposes as in what? Like skating?
Yeah I’m trying to find a term for this kind of shoe
Gazelles are for indoor sports (same with Spezials, which Derek Guy once incorrectly talked over me about in here and called them a samba which I’m still mad about), Sambas are for soccer on ice (apparently) and Stans are a tennis shoe
What sport they were for
Soccer on ice?
This shoe is kinda like a golden goose or a Margiela replica I’m not sure what to call these
Go look up the backstory but iirc the 1949 German soccer team was having problems training in winter
Oh wow
And the samba was developed as a solution
Margielas are a type of GAT (German Army Trainer)

Fun article on this
Anyway if you wanna continue this conversation you should probably make your own q&a and we can stop sidetracking the original q&a @defenechi
can we go dm
Adidas is also German right
imo cute but not a samba
