HHD issues with Bazzite Legion Go
Hey guys! First of all, love your help and support. The main reason I got here is cuz bazzite support is amazing. You doing gods work and bless ya for dat. Now to my case.
Recently i stumbled on a comment from a bazzite mod in reddit that its better to use HHD on the legion go rather than simpledecky TDP. I decided to listen and got rid of it. Turns out he was right, I notice on some games FPS became more stable at lower tdp and the sleep and wake function works so much better. However i ran into a problem.
When i tried to reduce the tdp using the steam os tdp slider my legion would go into a black screen that appears to be a console(i only realized it was a console cuz i mashed on my keyboard and got letters) and the only way to get out of it was by completely shutting down the device.
I managed to fix this solution by changing the UMA VRAM from Auto to 6gb.
That being said, im really scared to touch the tdp slider after numerous black screens and kinda want to reinstall bazzite because of it. Can anybody explain what was happening or maybe i did something wrong?

It was not the tdp slider
There was an issue with the kernel causing crashes that is fixed right now
Do not reinstall bazzite
So it was the vram settings that were doing that?
no
it was a kernel issue
that caused crashes with autouma
so yes
and no
Thank you. Last question. Am i ok to create per game profiles using the steam tdp slider? Thats my sole concern.
yes
tdp slider completely unrelated
Thank you. I was blaming the tdp slider because this occurred when i changed them on two games and only those two games were crashing. Only then i remembered i also changed the vram settings because i read somewhere that auto was fixed and wanted to try if it would work better. So I may have confused the situation because of that.
Thank you so much for your help!! I really love your work! You guys made me appreciate linux like my father did)
