I feel like my wardrobe has become stagnant.

The title kind of says it all, i'm at a point with my wardrobe where i'm happy with my outfits and everything i have, but i'm not experimenting as much as i used to. i'm not as excited as i used to be. Do you all have any suggestions (not buying new clothes) that I could take to try to change things up a little? Once you've built a wardrobe that you're happy with, how do you keep pushing and improving from there?

a counterargument: does there need to be any pushing or improving? if clothing and the act of wearing it is a hobby to you then there's an argument there but if your "goal" is finding clothes you like to wear while living your life i think you're living the dream if it is a hobby then imo adding constraints might spark something - a self-imposed capsule wardrobe, attempting to wear all of your clothes in a month, trying to adapt someone else's style with your clothes, etc etc.

those are good ideas! i always find the monthlongs in ehf to be a good exercise, that last one about copying styles is really interestinf fashion is defiitely a hobby for me, i view it like any other artistic practice i do where i want to always be experimenting which is where i think that feeling of stagnation comes even when i'm happy with where i'm at

i simultaneously love and loathe the monthlongs because i personally fall into the trap of wanting to wear 30 distinct fits

those have i think the perfect amount of structure to allow you freedom of interpretation if you're used to putting fits out for consumption it's on you where you want to actually share these experiments; i think there's value in posting fits and also not posting fits and getting influenced by others' commentary
