ideas what to pair with this jacket

Looking for some more casual options in particular. We’re heading into spring/summer in aus. It’s unlined and cotton, I love how it fits but just don’t get as much wear as I’d like from it

Have a look in waywt channel at Art's fits, he's done some casual navy DB blazer outfits in:waywt from:artvandelayimporting and from:sioku as well of course!

First posted photo nails it in cut and colour imho. Fuller cut trousers in light earth colours (best with sand, beige; pretty fine with khaki, olive, army–though these may be a tad dark–and so; and less with dirt-ish brown, unless you are aiming for that professor look), slight-to-full break, drape-y heavy fabric, I tend to like trousers be perceived as heavier than the jackets. Pair that with some brown suede penny loafers, or anything else for that matter, and there you go! You then have something of a gradient going on with the visual weight, it's like a normal distribution on your body, which's a nice touch to the casualness, I'd say.

camp collar shirt is an interesting idea also wearing it unbuttoned, regardless of what's underneath, will read more casual

Legit saved this one when I was going thru Thanks for the in depth reply, that was my thinking but you put it really eloquently. You explained it well, I had a lot of slimmer fit trousers on hand and when I tried them on at home something looked off.
