they both are d block elements
ok, But then why is it mentioned in the periodic table like this?
it isn't in many periodic tables but our sir said that they are both d block elements, they just show the properties of f block elements so they are studied with them
Okay thanks
@iTeachChem So sir can i conclude that lanthanum and actinium are not the first member of Lanthanoids and actinoids respectively?
it is not a part of F block but i think it is a part of the series
yo i dunno how i missed this ping
and yea they are not
cos f0
Ye so not f block , but still a part of series or am I wrong
wait so guys part of the series or not?
It's not. Lanthanum and actinium are d-block elements.
Lanthanoids begin from Cerium and actinoids from Thorium.
But they all belong to the third group as far as the main body of the table is concerned. Because of d1
thanks guys
