Loafers
So basically I bought the Vagabond Cameron Black Loafers because I love the silhouette (see the attached image). I’m scared tho that they won’t last enough because they’re glued and not Good Year Welted/Blaked whatever. I’m searching for an option which isn’t glued and has the same appearance…Any advice?

My wife has vagabond loafers and theyre nearly indestructible dont sweat it too much
She walked 20k steps in them yesterday and does so on the regular
I think you should ask this question when you need new ones
Worrying about GYW/Blake stitch when you just bought shoes that will be off trend by the time the soles go is incredibly dumb. All those things do is let you replace the sole when it wears out, and I'd also guess of the people who talk about them, not many of them have actually ever resoled a shoe.
Imma let u know that when those shoes break, you would likely not want chunky loafers anymore
As with any particularly in item, the item’s staying power physically will outlast the item’s staying power in mainstream fashion
also just to add, people talk lots about resoling as if it will save you money
in reality it really won't unless the shoes are at least $250+
resoling anything stitched iwll cost you at least $150, and thats for a machine stitch resole that's going to puncture new holes and not look the best
if you actually want someone to do it by hand to maintain aesthetic, you're talking $250-300 range
it is generally cheaper to just buy new shoes rather than resole if we're just talking functionality
