Github Desktop can't detect Git, can't automatically open project in Visual Studio Code
After installing Github Desktop from Discover, and Visual Studio Code from Discover, Github does not detect a Git installation in when trying to open in Konsole.
I installed Git using
dnf install git Then rebooted. Git was still not detected by Github Desktop.
Furthermore, after having installed VScode from Discover, I can't use Github Desktop to open the project in VScode, but I can still open in Kate which has always worked perfectly. I have to open VScode seperately and open the project with a saved workspace file instead. I also rebooted after installing VScode from Discover.1 Reply
