Bazzite-Nvidia: Unable to launch games
Hello, I installed Bazzite today and I managed to run Lethal Company, GTFO, and Team Fortress 2. After seeing that I can run those, I tried installing some nvidia driver updates and Visual Studio Code to no avail (all thru the terminal) [Still learning Linux]
When I got back to Steam to play some games, I found I cannot launch any of the games, even linux native TF2. I'm not sure what could have happened in between launching 2 of those games through Proton and installing via terminal. That's as much backtracking as I can remember that could have somehow messed up something.
Anything that comes to mind to check out will truly be helpful. Completely stumped right now
Edit: I also ran system-update via the start menu

We would need to know what you did to try and install driver updates, that shouldn't be possible but if you put your system in a bad state by doing that it would explain your current predicament
rpm-ostree reset and then rebooting may helpif i recall correctly, i tried to follow https://itsfoss.com/fedora-third-party-repos/ and https://itsfoss.com/install-nvidia-drivers-fedora/ instructions on installing on Fedora but terminal refused as it was in read-only. I didn't do anything to circumvent around read-only. I did input
sudo dnf etc. commands that were given out through those sites
did rpm-ostree reset but terminal printed No change.this is what happens when I press Play on TF2. GTFO and Lethal Company worked awhile ago and I played a match of GTFO. I'm not sure what to do or where to go from here as I'm pretty stumped on what to do. Trying to give as much info as possible
Maybe close steam completely, then start steam by running
bazzite-steam from the terminal, then you'll be able to see much more logging. One of the lines in the log there might give you an issue as to what the issue is when you try and launch the gameRunning
bazzite-steam and launching a game gave me ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/extest/libextest.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored.not an error

Hmm, not sure what is wrong then. Thank you for your time, I think I will just flash bazzite-nvidia again
you could try the steam refresh ujust command rather than reinstall Bazzite as the issue seams to be steam specific.
ujust fix-reset-steam this will force a steam re-install, sometimes fixes thingsi've did this twice last night to no avail. it's alright! thank you for your time
