right so giving electrons kab karega, when the species in question is less electronegative than the conjugated system right D is inductive, you are right. Take NH CH3 to be similar to NH2 does that help? C ke bagal me O hai which is VERY e-ve, so it will pull pi electrons towards it. so that would be -m same way S ke bagal me bhi O hai so as a rule of thumb per se, agar element ke bagal me electronegative element hai then it is most likely going to be -M effect. we good?

Yea. But look at the atom next to N That is positive. This causes inductive effect. Pulling of electrons. But. Since it has an electron pair, contributed to resonance
