or ujust --choose
to see what script are available to your systemctrl + q to quit the second one
Okay
Thanks
So I don't have to create an account and download the file from the Black Magic design website ?
the account part im not sure, i dont use it myself, but the application will be installed by the script and you just need to follow the script instruction
uhh scratch that, you do need to download it manually and the script will install it
just run the script and it will tell you what to do
I think the script is for debian π€
no? what script are you running
I'm talking about the official downloadable script
ah, you just need to run
ujust install-resolve
and follow the instruction thereWhat you download is a zip with the
.run
file. Which is not even a script, but an Appimage
Only thing you need is to download the zip in your download directory and just will handle the restπ

Do you have a screenshot at hand ? Might be something breaking upstream
Well yeah, as I said, only thing you need is to have the zip file in your downloads folder
Then ujust will take care of the rest
You are not supposed to execute that thing
mmmhh
how do I launch it then?
@Zeglius ?
run
ujust install-resolve
in terminal~/Downloads$ ujust install-resolve
error: Justfile does not contain recipe
install-resolve
.
sorry, I really don't understand
in which folder ?
downloads ?
it gives me an errortry
rpm-ostree status
thats really old

do this, then update
you need to update first
It failed, I have to be sudo ?
did you do the announcement?
oh
ok
I'm going to do this
and then it will work ?
it should yeah, do the announcement, update your system then try to run it again
okay
I just need to get sudo access π
you dont have sudo?
no, but I can ask π
shared pc?
yeah
ah, i thought your user doesnt have wheel or something
It's okay, I've put in the command to solve the problem, but it looks like it's going to take some time π
np, just ask here if you have any more question
there is only one user
thank you !
in your download folders, and if doesn't work try in your user one (/home/whateveryourusername)
his system too old lol, need to update first
Also yeah was about to mention. I don't think the script is installed in that version
Hello, I'm coming back to you because the update doesn't work, so I'm going to try to uninstall it and then reinstall it only, I don't know how to uninstall it, can you help me?
Thanks in advance!
?
@Zeglius
ujust install-resolve should reinstall as well
mmmhh okay
so I have to suupdate the original zip file ?
Yeah
maybe install/upgrade ?
The version has been updated but my problem persists, i would like davinci to be completely uninstalled and reinitialized. do you think this is possible?
Sure there is an option right there for that
ah ok I understand better, can you tell me how to do it?
Right there. Other than that, you could look for some leftover Davinci config file, I guess these are in ~/.config or ~/.local, not entirely sure
I'm sorry, I don't have a very good level of English π and I don't understand your answer. Can you explain again how to completely uninstall davinci ?
ujust install-resolve
and select Uninstall davincibox
. That should be enoughthat's what I did but it didn't work, the result was the same as the update π«€
indeed, it's these files that I'm going to have to look at, because I think they're the problem
or maybe I should do this
@Zeglius ?
Do this
as I told you, I did this, it uninstalled resolve but there are still traces, so when I reinstall it keeps the old config π«
Should I delete this ?
/var/home/dabigne/.local/share/resolve
yeah, but dont delete
/run/systemd/resolve
, that has nothing to do with davincimmhh ok
I deleted /var/home/dabigne/.local/share/resolve but there's still this, is this normal ?
yeah, simply didnt have enough time to refresh the apps menu
ah ok
I need to reboot ?
could help yeah
okay
if is still there, might be a leftover file in ~/.local/share/applications/davincibox.desktop
yeah
so now I can reinstall davinci and it will be brand new ?
let's go
