Bazzite Legion Go Install help
Hi im new to Bazzite, following ETA prime and Retro Game Corp's guide to install Bazzite on my legion go but I encountered this error
I have:
- Partitioned my disk in advance
- Disabled Secure Boot
- Enabled USB Boot
- Updated the BIOS page to boot from my USB Drive
- Flashed the latest ISO for Legion Go Twice on a USB drive
- Have a physical keyboard
Could anyone kindly help with a solution here?

verify that your ISO has the right checksum using 7-zip to calculate it and make sure it matches the checksum file for the ISO on the website which you can find by pressing that icon
the file you get is a text file, open it in notepad and make sure the checksum verify.
Hi i tried this and it matches but the same error persists
eject your usb drive
it is very rare for the iso to be corrupted during downloads
most of you just yank it
before it finishes copying
Hi thank you for the advice but I have flashed and ejected the drive safely before installation, but it keeps showing the same error 😦 I have tried this both on my legion go itself and on a macbook, is there any other way I can troubleshoot this issue?
how did you flash the usb?
have you tried something like ventoy?
I used a software called balena to flash the usb
it showed that its complete and I ejected the drive from windows settings
then I rebooted the legion go into the bios, switched boot to the USB drive and exited, rebooted into the installer, and used a physical keyboard to select install
is it the gnome or kde iso you downloaded?
kde iso
ok give me a sec to download and test it myself
thank you
gonna take a bit though
but if you have the time, could you try using ventoy instead?
it lets you make a usb you can just throw isos into and boot from those
Alright let me give it a try!
I tried the install using ventoy as well, and had the same issue unfortunately
Try unplugging your dock
just confirmed in a VM that nothing is wrong with the ISO (skipped the test)
Hey I did another round using the grub2 settings on ventoy and managed to get it to open the installer!
However Im facing another issue where by I cant seem to select the partition
you dual booting or going to replace everything with bazzite
dual booting! I have used the reclaim space setting and it should work now?
with 200gb partitioned
depending on how you setup the partitions beforehand you either just ended up setup dual booting now with 1 efi partiton (windows loves to mess this up) or you removed windows and replaced it with bazzite
documentation for doing the dual boot setup exists
https://universal-blue.discourse.group/docs?topic=1144
so we will see how it ends up once the installer is done

Re-download the ISO at your convenience. Yesterday the new batch had issues that were fixed later on.
but 200gb should be fine if thats what you ended up with
Got it! thank you!
I tried to install KDE and set aside partition prior. I have 4TB in my LeGo and the unallocated size is 1.5TB. When select installation destination, I saw the free space but keep saying “system can’t configure storage”. Tried advanced option to change label to EFI but still no luck. Is it my ssd? Size of unallocated space? Or something else?
I've had this error on a drive where Bitlocker was enabled before. Are you dual booting? Does your Windows partition have bitlocker turned on?
Haven’t been able to install. No bitlocker, not encrypted. Check off fastboot, disable security boot. Not sure what else needs to be done. Keep getting same message.
Did you try one of the manual partitioning guides? The installer might not be happy with the amount of free space available in the efi partition, and just be giving you some useless error. So if you follow the manual partitioning guides and just make a new efi for Bazzite that might work. It's a long shot but might be worth a try
