As an old-school Linux developer, I am going to ask the main question.... Why multipass over something like VirtualBox?
I use VBox regularly and has the (to me) advantage of being able to install whatever version of Linux I want (including bespoke Yocto images that I create) instead of being tied to Ubuntu.
