where to begin trying to style more?
Hello, recently I actually joined for some questions about hair, but it got me thinking about trying to really style how I dress more. Currently I really only ever wear and have shorts, sweatpants, t shirts, sweatshirts, etc and probably the nicest thing aside from my dress pants and dress shirt are my cargo shorts. I've always really disliked jeans for some reason and just the feel of them with denim, which I've noticed kind of sucks since they are such a common styling thing. So yeah, like where is a good place to start when it comes to getting things that are more stylish, and is there a way to avoid jeans?

1) look at lots of pictures of people wearing clothes
2) it's fine not to wear jeans
@pancake ‘s point is so crucial. Consume as much fashion content from as many different styles as possible.
My other pieces of advice are to build your wardrobe slowly, and start with pieces you can wear with a lot of different styles.
For example, a nice white crew neck t can fit into just about any aesthetic.
