it needs more highlights and some spots need their shadows touched up after i lightened them up too much with highlights
and the eye and foot arent finished

i started w/watercolor and it was okay, but really hard for me
but then i found gouache. i think this is my 4th gouache painting

it suits me much better
I might have to give it a try but I’m moving very soon so don’t want to overbuy
i love that it has elements of watercolor that make it forgiving for newbies, but also is opaque, which is also forgiving for newbies since you can just slap another layer over your mistakes
