Dualshock 4 Bluetooth Issues
When I pair my controller the wizard fails but the controller connects anyways, It also seems to work fine for a bit untill the light eventually turns red then stops recieving input. The controller also doesn't want to reconnect after initial pairing until you re-pair it. Any ideas what's going on?

It seems to have been related to the adapter itself. I've tried another Bluetooth adapter I had lying around and now my DS4 is working fine

how long does it usually last before it stops working? im trying to reproduce
can only replicate the pairing error which in the end means nothing (since the pair is still successful, just need to turn controller back on)
cannot replicate the disconnect. however the light turning red then shutting off usually means it runs out of power
It wasn't shutting off it was still on and no imput was happening
Uhh tbh I'm not sure how long but it was about a few mins
I walked away and came back to see it like that
mine has been connected for almost 20 minutes playing FF7 atm
Maybe it comes down to the adapter?
could be
some bluetooth adapters can be weird
its why i have like 4 bluetooth usb adapters for testing
Fair enough, I just figured this one should've been fine as it was working fine on windows. Might have to look into a new adapter possibly
By the way, I seriously appreciate you trying to help
Controller has been connected for about 4 mins and no red yet
mine is still connected too, bright and blue
lighting up my whole apartment at 2am π
LOL
It do be like that π
Still blue on my end
It's like as soon as I ask for help it wants me to look stupid
So I think I found part of my issue
Seems like the controller is rather finee and that might've been a random little thing
however
Turns out after sleeping my pc I have to replug my bluetooth & xbox wireless adapter for the controllers to reconnect properly
no repairing needed
This sounds less like a bug and more like a feature or something
Does any one know what the cause of this could be?
So after 1 replug the xbox controller can keep reconnecting fine
The ds4 with BT if left for a bit needs the adapter to be replugged again and again to reconnect
i couldnt tell you, probably something with bluez maybe?
