Sweaty Summer Wedding Guest
Hey everyone 🙂
I'll be attending a wedding as a guest next week. It's going to be hot - 30C (86F) and humid, and I don't deal with the heat well at all. I asked the groom, and he said that a full suit isn't required, just to feel comfortable and look "somewhat put together".
I would love a lightweight linen suit, but I haven't found any in my price range (~400 EUR), so I was considering just wearing some linen blend suit pants with a white shirt and formal shoes. However, this feels like it would be a little underdressed?
Should I add some accessories? What accessories would fit without a jacket (e.g. I can't wear a tie without a jacket/waistcoat)? Should I go down a different path than a suit?
All help/advice/questions appreciated 🙂

I'm quite competent sewing also, and am happy with vintage/second hand or making alterations too 🙂
Could you find a sportscoat in linen or tropical wool for your price point?
I have been looking, but not much success - I'm based in Berlin so I thought there would be lots of places, but apparently not :S
you're in a bit of a tough spot tbh. Did they provide any more context than looking "somewhat put together"?
Finding a suit in a week or less requires you getting really lucky, or making a significant sacrifice on budget or fit.
