tips on guiding clients to hosting while not being involved in the process in any way

i dont want to host for my clients but i do want to make sure that they know what to do to host their website, do you all know any source that explains the complete hosting process simply for non-technical people?

Give them a direct link to the hosting you want them to buy and say get this, then have them make/add login for you. Helps if you are familiar with it yourself though so you can walk them through it if they are just that dense.

ohk btw i was wondering if hosting a clients website with domain name and a hosting plan and not being involved in any further maintenance an option?

it is, but be careful that you don't get stuck with the bill make sure your contract is air tight, and only accept payment upfront for any and all obligations you create for yourself with your hosting party basically, cover your ass in all cases, including unexpected extra usage bills and no-pay customers

actually im gonna be using fiverr to serve the clients , in fiverr they dont have contracts, the client pays, fiverr gets the money, and the seller gets paid when the project is submitted.. so in this case i will have to mention clearly what i will be willing to offer to the client the hosting party, as in the client? also i was wondering how m i gonna purchase the hosting plan using the client's details, ofc they wouldnt be willing to share their card details with me ( i wouldnt wanna take that risk either )

generally you'd buy that yourself and then bill the client or rather, you bill the client and then buy the hosting it's potentially an administrative nightmare, and you're on the line for any usage fees if the client goes over doesn't seem like a good fit for selling your work through fiverr if I'm honest

oh sorry i didnt realize that, im totally new to this actually hosting stuff yeah i heard fiverr is terrible but im mostly doing it for small projects , for experience and also to get a little pay im noticing that the more new things im learning, the more im forgetting the basics btw are there any more downsides of fiverr other than the unfair power that buyers have over the seller?

What's unfair? I mean the platform it self, but it's a race to the bottom. If you live in a country where you can afford it then go for it. I'd have to do like 60 websites a month to make what I do from one πŸ˜… ..... 50$ websites like wtf ... But you get what you pay for too.

i was told by some ex fiverr sellers that they were denied from being paid due to the incomprehensive behaviour of some buyers idk, its just one side of the story but so many different people cant be wrong about the same thing i guess
