Tunnel Setup Issues

My config I'm pretty sure is fine I'm not sure what all this means though

root@joshua:/mypool/AppData/AppData/cloudflare# sudo cloudflared tunnel run mytunnel

Sounds like you didn't login/auth cloudflared tunnel login

if local tunnels are confusing, remote/dashboard tunnels are way simpler and all through the UI: https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-one/connections/connect-networks/get-started/create-remote-tunnel/
