Lenovo Legion Go Performance Issues
Hello, I recently dual booted my legion go for bazzite os, to get the steam deck look and feel. Im just wondering why Im not getting the generally concluded better performance. I have SimpleDecky installed, and set TDP to 40 W, as well as tweaking other settings, but I cant find a definitive guide anywhere that tells me how to set up Bazzite to perform better than w11
Games of reference so far have been TLOU, Nier, Cyberpunk, Hades, and ill be playing Ghost of Tsushima eventually

40W TDP is almost certainly a problem, that's a one-way ticket to overheating and throttling.
I do 20 watt with TDP boost enabled
Ive been taking a look through the discussions, should I be usign SimpleDecky or HHD?
And is there just a general setup for the max performance, while also not overheating? Like a preset that tackles most games
ive been seeing people also change their resolutions, cant seem to figure out how to do so
you do so in-game
or via game properties in gamemode
Ah, gotcha
HHD
you do not need any decky plugins
Gotcha, so i uninstall Simpledecky, as well as lenovoremapper or somethuing like that
Id only have hhd installed, that being said, what else should I be changing?
in terms of HHD settings
defaults are fine
40W is not the default, hence why I pointed it out

So currently got pretty much everything default, 20w tdp, tdp boost as well as full fan speed and auto energy management
yep
would this work for the majority of games? mostly aiming towards smooth gameplay on ghost of tsuhima/cyberpunk levels of requirements
"smooth" relatively speaking ofc
yep, that's what I use
hardly ever change it
just applied it to tlou, runs like a charm
much appreciated!

what benefits, if any, would come from settinf tdp to 30w with tdp boost?
slightly more power at the cost of more heat
if you're not thermal throttling w/ that TDP limit it's a net benefit
play w/ it in your favorite titles, see what works
if perf drops, check temps
Thanks so much been trying to find a guide or a walkthrough for the longest time
