building content heavy SEO-compatible websites

Been wondering about the way I should go for these projects, should I use something like wordpress or continue with nextJS and sanity.io? Recently I've gotten a new client recently and they want me to build a website like https://scafwest.com.au/projects, which will obv need some content editing and a cms

one of my own websites ive made with a cms (sanity) is https://justiceimun.org granted the SEO on this website is absolute trash but that's because I haven't bothered with statically generating the html head, as it is was a free project for my friend

I'd choose the tech you're more comfortable with. Next + a headless CMS can work great with SEO. I'm currently consulting a client, that has thousands of SEO-sensitive pages, relying on Next + Contentful. You dont have to tinker with the <head> directly, just don't forget to define the metadata: https://nextjs.org/docs/app/building-your-application/optimizing/metadata, and use next-seo if you need extra stuff
