Hiring friends, ex-coworkers, ex-university pee...
Hiring friends, ex-coworkers, ex-university peers, (not very close to you, some maybe closer to you) into one of your OE jobs: disaster or good idea? What has been your experience? Things to be careful for when considering referring them to a position on your direct team? I am curious, as the first rule of OE is there is no OE.

yeah I think TD answered the question for you, but the first thing I thought of to ask was what benefit would it be to bring people you know into one of your Js?

Things to be careful for when considering referring them to a position on your direct team?Just be on good relations with them.. people are unpredictable if there's bad blood in many cases it's not worth the hassle even though it feels altruistic in the beginning that "magic" wears off so think about the longterm implications especially if they happen to know you work at another job too what kinds of morals do they have, ethics, etc

that is what shakes me to the bones babe
I probably wouldn't refer them to where I work. whenever someone asks me where I work I always go with undisclosed/NDA cannot discuss much.

Does that mean they’d be doing OE also? I’d tread carefully. What if they get busted for OE down the road, and your boss knew you referred them? Might raise suspicion on yourself.
Is that likely to happen? 99% not. But IMO risk outweighs reward
If ya wana refer me I am down
