Questions about what is "spam" when it comes to messaging users with a bot
This post relates to an earlier post I made (that I can't access) where I was informed that mass messaging wasn't allowed and I was linked to the TOS. I read through it and the official discord community guideline: https://discord.com/guidelines
It seems I cannot give unsolicited messages, but if I inform users beforehand and have them opt in, then from my reading it seems like I can message however many people I want. This is important because I am trying to make a sample bot, that messages users with a question.
So I just want to clarify and make sure I won't get banned as long as I have consent before hand and the users can opt in/out?

- What's your exact discord.js
npm list discord.js
and node node -v
version?
- Not a discord.js issue? Check out #other-js-ts.
- Consider reading #how-to-get-help to improve your question!
- Explain what exactly your issue is.
- Post the full error stack trace, not just the top part!

Discord.js has to comply with discord TOS, so they are directly related

Okay, if you don't see the relation then you don't need message
As long as your not mass messaging people at once I dont think Discord will see it as an issue.

Agreed. I was just trying to be helpful by responding.

I will try there
Welp, it turns out there aren't clear rules on this, but I probably shoudln't that many people and probably will get my bot blocked.
