Plugging Ally X into external monitor changes games' default resolutions
This is a minor bug, but I found that in Bazzite, if you plug the ROG Ally X into an external monitor and play games in gaming mode, the resolutions get pretty messed up, and causes games' starting resolutions to be changed permanently. The fix requires you to find the game's config file and type in the Ally X's native resolution. This occurs with Baldur's Gate 3, where the monitor (which is 1440p capable) is set to 1024x768 for some reason when connecting the Ally X via docking. Then after undocking and playing the game standalone, Baldur's Gate 3 is permanently set to 1024x768 on startup. This requires fixing in the game settings every time, or navigating to the game's config file and changing screen sizes from 1024x768 back to 1920x1080. It is weird to me how plugging/unplugging an external monitor can cause a game to rewrite its CFG file and alter launch settings without any user authorization.
I also tested Company of Heroes 3, which does not work especially well in Steam OS, and the game also launches in 1024x768 and there is no easy way to alter the resolution. Switching the docked Ally to desktop mode then back causes Company of Heroes 3 to run in native 1080p. This is not a great game to run on a handheld in any circumstance, but it goes to show that plugging/unplugging the Ally X with an external monitor causes all sorts of shenanigans in Bazzite.
