I have an excess of dress shirts and no excuse to wear them. Is this fit illegal?
I feel like the dress shirt is too long but I kinda like the fit and I feel like a bit of fixing could make it good. Going for a more casual look.

I think the material matters. The material of the shirt here looks more obviously formal (glossy, woven) than that of the shirt in the first photo. If it’s very clearly a dress shirt then avoid such an outfit; if it’s just a normal button-down that’s loose enough to comfortably wear open then the outfit is fine
